Over time

Today we attached rubber bands to the edge of the lift so that the lift flexes and allows the ball enter the launcher but now another problem we are facing is that only one set of wheels to the launcher is moving and we believe that this is due to the brain so we tested a new brain and it wasn't a brain issue. Micheal also fixed up the code to the robot so the controls to work the robot are easier. Will and Nick since they finished the challenge already is somewhat assisting us by giving us parts so that we can complete the challenge.

solidworks robot (incomplete)

The Time Has Come

Today is the day to do the challenge and our group is facing a critical problem that is preventing us from doing the challenge. Now we are having problems with getting the ball into the launcher because the ball gets stuck. We also are having battery failures when practicing like the battery being to weak. So we plan on doing the challenge tomorrow and losing ten points bringing us to a 90.

The End Is Near

Today we attached the lift to the robot but the robot is not connected to the code we made for the challenge. So Michael is staying after school to make some finishing touches on the robot such as putting the code on the robot is that we can do the challenge tomorrow.

Final Days

Everything for the robot is done but now we are facing a very bad problem. We can not get the ball to the launcher. We made the tank tread mechanism to carry the ball but we need to install it and then test how the robot functions  when it is complete. Another problem is that there are two days left in the challenge.

Friday

Today we started to build a lift that will carry the ball to the launcher. Its a metal lift similar to nicks group that will move the ball to the launcher using tank tread. Also we added wheels to the motors of the launcher that will carry the ball to the wheels that launch the ball. The only problem is attaching this to the robot.

enemy has spotted us

We scouted the opponents robot performance but saw us and start to shoo us away. Meanwhile our robot performance has been doing so well that it can shoot from the 20 points zone which allows us to shot 5 balls to get a 100 the only problem is the transfer the ball to shotter.

Stress

Today are group is stressing because of the fact that we need to be done by next week. we fixed the gearing issue so now we have a medium gear connected to a large gear so now when we tested the gear with the motor even though its a little slower than before it requires less torque to move the gears. Now we have to attach the launcher to the robot and test it with a wiffle ball.

Design Flaw

Today the worst happened, we found out that the launcher Michael was working on had a design flaw. The gears were preventing the ball from reaching the launcher. In order to fix the issue we took apart the gears and began to put the gears on the top of the launcher instead of inside.

The Mount

We are mounting the shooter on the robot. Knowing that we have only 8 days until the competition we are hoping to beat all other teams. Solidworks has been on hold because our main focus is to finish up the robot.

TURTLE BEACHES REVIVAL

Tanner has a problem with his headset. So JASON out of kindness help fix Tanner's headset. Michael & Dylan are almost finish with the shooter. I will be working the solidworks for the shooter.

Shooter Pooter pt.3

With two teammates in MIA the team has made some progress of making our shooter. We are gearing towards massive speed on our shooter. In order to do this we plan on making the gear ratio that has plenty of torque. The solidworks has been at a pause for further addition on the robot.

Shooter Pooter pt.2

Michael has been assembling the shooter while Tanner, Dylan, and Jason are maintaining the robot in top notch condition. I also making progress with the solidworks for our robot. We hope we can overcome the 11 days to begin our challenge. The design we are using is similar to the design of Nick's group so once we finish we have to test it to see if it works. We began to attach the gears to the shooter.

Shooter Pooter

Our team is working on our second objective. The team is testing the prototype with the motor and are making new revision design wise. Michael is taking charge of the design while Tanner is discussing the objective goal with Jason. Dylan is contemplating on the shooter.

Build

Today with finished the frame that make the robot a lot sturdier. Also we are determining the gear ratio that will work in order for our robot to shoot from a far distance. By doing so we will be to shoot fewer balls and score a lot of points.

New design

Today we changed the exterior design of our robot because the robot was to flimsy. Now we created a sturdier robot that doesn't shake when it drives by making a another frame using metal railing that covers the robot. Michael also began the design for the launcher by attaching the metal and wheels but all we have to do is gear and program the launcher.

Ideas

After completing the lift challenge for the robot now we have to build the launcher. Today all we did was find parts to create a launcher similar to nicks groups. We want to make a bigger launcher so we can use more motors and gearing so that we can shoot the ball further. So today created a design and got the metal to build it.

Challenge Day

Today was the challenge to pick up the wiffle balls. We made some final improvements on the robot and did the challenge. We were able to pick up 9 out of the ten balls so we ended up with a 90%. Henry and Tanner are working on the solid works and all we have to do is add the gears to the robot.

Backboard

Today we finished the backboard for the challenge, and Tanner is working on the solid works robot that he unfortunately has to do again. He completed the chassis but he will finish it by tonight. Micheal is working on the robot but I don't think the robot will be ready for the challenge tomorrow since we can not contain the balls that we pick up.

Pipe

Today we really did not get to work on the robot because we had to do interviews on our views on education so all we did was work on solid works for  either our own benefit or for the robot. Luckily Jasen and Dillion took PVC pipe and started to work on the backboard for the challenge.
